Keaton Henson releases album through meditation app Music Zen

The latest artist experimenting with releasing music through meditation apps is Keaton Henson, the British folk-rock musician and composer.
His new album ‘Louise’ Piano’ is coming out through Music Zen, the mindfulness app developed by music-apps firm Gismart. It’s the first time an artist has written exclusive music for the app, although the model has been set by rival meditation app Calm with its partnerships with Moby and Above & Beyond.
In Henson’s case, the album was recorded on an old piano belonging to his family, augmented with a dash of strings and field recordings of birds and rivers. The deal happened via publisher Faber Music.
