Audio-streaming service Mixcloud has published its financial results for 2018 through Companies House in the UK: and unlike in previous years, the accounts have been published without a small-company exemption, thus giving us an insight into the firm’s growth and profitability.
The key figures: Mixcloud’s revenues in 2018 were £2.44m (around $3.1m), which was growth of 45.7% from 2017’s revenues of £1.68m. However, the company’s losses also increased: from £884.8k in 2017 to £3.04m in 2018. Why? Mixcloud’s cost of sales grew from £1.44m to £1.83m, but its administrative expenses nearly quadrupled: from £1.07m to £4.02m.
