S-Curve Records’ Steve Greenberg talks startups and music-marketing history

Steve Greenberg is certainly a music man with some pedigree. The renowned music executive and founder of S-Curve Records is also a Grammy-winning producer of hits for artists including Joss Stone, Hanson, Baha Men, Jonas Brothers, AJR and Andy Grammer.
In his time he’s also been head of A&R at Mercury Records, president of Columbia Records and written a book about The Beatles. But he’s also an entrepreneur, investor and tech innovator – and in April, a key speaker at Music Ally’s Sandbox Summit conference in New York.
The full story of how Greenberg came to set up S-Curve Records (acquired by BMG in 2015) and release the quirky track that became a massive global success story – the Baha Men’s ‘Who Let the Dogs Iut?’ – because the majors wouldn’t touch it, is a book in itself.
