One of the co-founders of ticketing firm Ticketfly, Dan Teree, is now working on a blockchain-based ticketing startup called Big Neon.
Teree left Ticketfly in September 2013, and his LinkedIn profile lists him as co-founder and COO of a ‘Stealth’ startup. However, investment database AngelList is more forthcoming about what he’s up to.
“Big Neon is building a highly scalable, mobile-centric event ticketing platform for the global live events industry. The company is founded by leaders in the live music industry, including the co-founder of Ticketfly, which was sold to Pandora for $450m,” explains its profile.
“Big Neon will be one of the very first companies in the world to leverage blockchain technology to improve the sale and resale of tickets.”
